Really enjoyed it's own balcony and closet space in the room. Also, location was marvellous and incredible, not too far from a provincial art gallery. Had a superb stay for great value and would definitely go back.

The staff was competent and well-trained, just as I expected. The location of the hotel was excellent - a 10-15 minute walk from Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk. On top of that, restaurants and a casino were right at the property.

Location was great - the hotel was great and the rooms were great
It took a really long time to check in. One girl was working the desk and other staff were standing around but not doing anything. The 4 people in front of us finally got really upset at the amount of time and expressed their displeasure and they walked out to go to another hotel. At that point one of the staff standing around finally clued in and came over and help register the people so the line quickly dimished. As a Delta privilege customer with no one to help me standing in the line - I also was very upset, at the delay. The one girl that had been there from the beginning was really nice - simply over worked - it didn't help that other staff were jsut standing around in a group talking to themselves.

The entrance and lobby are really upscale. Our double room with a harbor view was cozy and comfortable. The restaurant served awesome food with generous servings, and the staff were helpful, especially when they accommodated our accessible parking needs!

They were able to upgrade us to a one bedroom suite when we were dissatisfied with the room they gave us when we registered. Although it cost more they were very friendly and looked after moving our belongings while we were out for the afternoon.
We thought the room assigned at registration was less than what we had booked online. We also thought our booking included breakfast but this was not provided. Parking Garage is a long way from the lobby and difficult to get to particularly for seniors. Finally, the swimming pool was closed but we were not informed about that when bookin or at check-in. They did provide us alternate use of the pool at Delta Barrington however this was a very long walk through the shopping mall and over-street walkway through a second mall to the lobby and then to the pool.
